On Thursday 16 July, Equity-One welcomed broker partners, industry peers and members of the Porsche Motorsport community to Porsche Centre Melbourne for Driven by Performance.

Held as a thank you to our broker network, the evening brought together industry connections and insights from the world of motorsport, with a fireside discussion exploring the mindset behind sustained high performance at an elite level.

The discussion, hosted by Chad Neylon, drew on the unique insights of Porsche Carrera Cup reigning champion Dylan O’Keeffe and professional racing driver and business owner Dale Wood, as they shared their experiences competing at the highest level of motorsport.

Reflecting on the realities of elite competition, Dylan and Dale spoke about the importance of preparation, resilience and maintaining focus under pressure, highlighting that long-term success is built well before race day. They discussed how success often comes down to executing the fundamentals consistently, making good decisions when conditions change and remaining focused on continuous improvement rather than chasing quick wins.

These principles resonate well beyond the track.

Many of the themes from the night aligned closely with commercial lending, where success is rarely the result of a single transaction or opportunity. Instead, it is built on preparation, sound judgement and the ability to execute consistently when timing and marginal gains matter.

For brokers, that means understanding clients, navigating complexity and providing confidence throughout the lending process. For lenders, it means delivering certainty, responsiveness and outcomes when they are needed most.

The evening also provided an opportunity to share more about Equity-One’s longstanding involvement with Porsche Motorsport. Earlier this year, this relationship expanded with Equity-One becoming title partner of the Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup, reflecting a shared commitment to performance, preparation and continuous improvement.
